In October of 2005, Jim Rexroad, a Pinellas Park Police Officer, lost a childhood friend to Leukemia. He passed away at the age of 40 leaving behind two children and a wife. Victor Griffin, a deputy with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, is providing support to a family member who is courageously battling the same disease. OnOctober 18, 2006 Victor’s nephew finally lost his battle with this disease at the age of 40. He left behind a wife and three children. In honor of those who are close to them Jim and Vic are holding a fund raising event to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
